Your doctor may suggest this test if you have a heart rhythm that is irregular. It's also recommended if you've had symptoms such as palpitations, fainting, light-headedness, or dizziness.
In some cases, it is used to evaluate how well your heart medications are working or to monitor your heart's activity over time. This helps in diagnosing underlying issues that may not appear during a standard ECG.
Cardioline Walk Free
The Cardioline Walk Free is a modern, wireless Holter monitor designed to provide high-quality cardiac monitoring without interfering with your daily routine. This compact device is attached to your chest using just three small electrodes, making it both lightweight and comfortable to wear throughout the day and night — even while sleeping.
Unlike traditional bulky monitors, the Walk Free offers complete freedom of movement and is ideal for patients who prefer monitoring in the comfort of their own home. There are no wires or straps, and no need to visit a clinic or hospital. Our experienced nurses or phlebotomists will come directly to your home to professionally fit the device.
The Walk Free can continuously record your heart rhythm for up to 7 days, depending on the duration prescribed by your clinician. There's no need to return daily to transfer data or change memory cards, as the device stores all recordings internally for later analysis.
Once the monitoring period is complete, our team will return to your home to remove the device. The recorded ECG data is then uploaded and processed using advanced digital software to generate a comprehensive cardiac report. This report is carefully reviewed by a Cardiologist, and if any abnormalities are found, your General Practitioner will be contacted promptly to ensure appropriate and timely medical care.
